My most recent experience has been acting as a Data Scientist for Catholic Crosscultural Services & The BRIDGE, where on a day-to-day basis I was processing, analysing and presenting data to optimise the client experience for 20+ service providers across Scarborough.
Core competencies & libraries I've consistently worked with:
Identified VARX as the most accurate model for cocoa futures price prediction through a comparative study of time‑series forecasting methods (e.g. ARIMA-GARCH & ETS). Enabled scalable testing and deployment through scripting model fitting, back-testing and evaluation using the forecast, rugarch, and vars packages
Explored the use of masked autoencoders with teacher-student training in visual classification tasks. Created a synthesis on Transformers, Autoencoders, Gaussian Processes & Skip-gram models.
